NEW YORK – His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America welcomed today in his office at the Archdiocese headquarters, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Kyrenia (Church of Cyprus), who is visiting Mexico, the United States and Canada. The Metropolitan was accompanied by the Consul General of Cyprus in New York Ms. Koula Sofianou, the President of the Cyprus Federation of America Mr. Panikos Papanikolaou and Mr. Marios Lappas, the Metropolitan’s associate from Cyprus.

During his visit in the Greater New York area, Metropolitan Chrysostomos will meet with representatives of the Greek-Orthodox community, will visit some of the parishes and schools of the Archdiocese in the area and the many Cypriot organizations and associations.
