Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. - The Orthodox Christian Network (OCN) announced two new additions to its growing line of products and programs that seek to share the Orthodox Christian faith with viewers and listeners throughout the world.

The latest outstanding, in-depth and informative offering is a new podcast entitled "Between Two Worlds: Christian Converts in Ancient Corinth" by Dr. George Parsenios of Princeton Theological Seminary, which has just been released and can be found on the Network's web site at www.myocn.net. On "Between Two Worlds," Dr. Parsenios examines St. Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians and helps listeners follow St. Paul's efforts to assist his new converts in a new way of living and new way of imagining themselves.

The podcast episodes are based on Dr. Parsenios' class lectures at Princeton Theological Seminary, thereby giving listeners a unique opportunity to benefit from the best theological and pastoral insights into this important piece of Scripture. "It is a great pleasure to participate in the Orthodox Christian Network, and especially to do so by discussing St. Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians," Dr. Parsenios said. "After all, the OCN broadcasts and Paul's letters really have the same goal of providing pastoral care and theological instruction from a distance. The medium is different, of course. Paul used ink and papyrus. We're using the internet. But the goal is the same."

George L. Parsenios is Assistant Professor of New Testament at Princeton Theological Seminary. He holds degrees in Classics from the University of Cincinnati and Duke University, a Master's of Divinity from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and a PhD in New Testament from Yale University. His scholarly research focuses on the interaction between early Christianity and classical culture and literature, and he has spoken in Greek Orthodox Churches throughout the country, giving many sermons and retreats. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey with his family.

The Orthodox Christian Network also announced a new way for iTunes users to access OCN's media through an "Artist" page on iTunes. The page allows iTunes users to view and subscribe to many of OCN's podcasts in a single location: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewArtist?id=302008181 (your iTunes application should launch automatically).

"This is another big step forward for OCN," said Executive Director Fr. Christopher Metropulos, "Only a year ago, we had one real podcast for our flagship program Come Receive the Light. Now we have 15 distinct podcast channels and the number is growing! With the popularity of iTunes among our listeners, having all podcasts in a single location for their convenience is a big plus."
